This extremely heavy duty barrel vise only require the clamping bolts to be loosened a couple of turns to allow complete removal of top clamp. This greatly eases the loading and unloading of long awkward barrels and is ideal for barrels with a front sight assembly or gas system installed. This is much faster when maintaining or assembling a number of rifles at once in an armory or manufacturing situation. Mounts to solid bench top using 2-1/2" socket head cap screws (included). Steel and aluminum barrel bushings with a finished outside diameter and 1/2" or 3/4" rough drilled inside diameter are available, and instructions are included for casting bushings from epoxy bedding compound.
